Simple Maki Bento for gal

No more time to make anything special for gal.

The bottom makis look like Tuna Maki right?!?!  Kee kee kee, actually they are Taiwanese sausage 😛 Thought I have better mention it here, in case my reader think that it’s ok to pack raw food.

DO NOT PACK RAW FOOD!

Bento 137 China Girl and China Boy Bento

China Girl and Boy greetings Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Got the idea for today’s bento after watching a China’s Chinese New Year variety show where there was a boy with cute Chinese trademark style hairdo.

I like sandwich balls cause it’s so compact that my daughter ends up eating more slices of bread than having the tradition sandwich.

As such, for other parents with similar problem with feeding your children, I thought having a step by step instruction on making bread/sandwich balls will be good. 🙂

Food : Breadballs with assorted fillings, berries, orange, pineapple tarts and M&Ms for boy, Ferroro for gal

Class Party Bento

Son’s class having farewell party for some of the boys who will be leaving school for the GEP.  Happy and proud to say my son is one of them.  But on the other hand, we are also very very sad to leave the Saint family 😦  This is probably one of my last few contribution to the school.  😦

Food : Floss Onigiri, Furikake Onigiri, Bonito Flakes Onigiri, but badly done Tamago, crabstick sushi.

A Bento Themed Birthday Party

This post is way way way overdue 😛

On 10 Sep, I organised a Bentolicious Birthday Party for my gal who turn 7yo. 🙂  It was a very small party with only a handful of guests invited.  But all the guests enjoyed the party thoroughly. 🙂

Here are the highlights in pictures :

Bento #60 : National Day Bento

It will be our National Day tomorrow!!!  Inline with the celebration mood, my gal has a National Day Bento today!!  Son finishes school by 10am, so he doesn’t need to pack food.  Great! More time for me to focus on gal’s.

Here it is:

Food : Nutella sandwich, gummies to share and cherries.

Made the flags out of old flag picks that spoiled.  Now I know what to do with all those old flag picks that spoiled.  Keep them and make our own flags 😉  One and only 😉 🙂

Daughter commented that she doesn’t have brown hair. Kee kee, that’s true, but it’s ok right?   Learned from fellow bento mamas at Facebook’s EZ Bentos group to use breadcrumbs.  I thought that’s a great idea.  Reuse crumbs, while at the same time, save nori 🙂

This is our first time using this bento Hello Kitty lunchbox.  🙂  Just nice for a short school day. 🙂  Wonders if her good friend also using it today :).

Bento #47 : Fun Day Bento

Food: Sushi with grapes. Son’s school having Fun Fair today, so no treats since I’m sure he gonna find a lot of treats at the fun fair. Meant to may “FUN FAIR”, but ran out of time (again). 😛

All the facial feature are crescent moons, cos it’s end of the week, and I usually try to use up whatever punched nori I have left, don’t waste.

Fun Fair Bento for him

And since it’s Friday and everyone is happy, my gal also have a happy gal bento. I just remembered that my gal doesn’t have short fringe now!!! 😛 Another bento mistake 😛
