Bento 207 No Waste Elmo Bento

Today is another no waste Elmo 🙂  Did a squarish Elmo some time ago, this time it’s bread ball Elmo.  Both Elmos have no crumbs, no wastage.  (except the sides which I normally cut and eat them up)

Oh,  pictorial instruction further down. 🙂

Cheat Swiss Roll Bento

Can’t bake but still want to make swiss rolls and cinnamon sugar rolls?  This is perfect 😛  All we need is rolling pin, 2 slices of bread, butter, cinnamon and sugar 😉

Again, these bite sized rolls look little right?  There are actually 2 slices!!!! Since I be in school to help out, I shall see if gal finish them later.

Oh, inside the piggy and panda containers are just some sweets. 🙂 🙂

(See below for written note on how to do the rolls, sorry, no time to take picture. Maybe when I have time.)

How?

  1. Mix 2 tbsps of  cinnamon powder and sugar in equal proportion.   Put them in an old glass container for future use.
  2. Cute the sides off 2 slices of breads.  Roll and flatten them. (Use 2 different colored bread for better effect.)
  3. Spread butter over both slices.  Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the butter.
  4. Stack 1 slice of bread over another on top of a cling wrap.
  5. Roll the slices up.  Wrap it with the cling wrap, leave it for a few minutes for the bread to ‘fasten’.
  6. Open up the cling wrap, cut.
  7. DONE!

Pesto Pasta with Sunflower Seeds and Broccoli

Bento 137 China Girl and China Boy Bento

China Girl and Boy greetings Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Got the idea for today’s bento after watching a China’s Chinese New Year variety show where there was a boy with cute Chinese trademark style hairdo.

I like sandwich balls cause it’s so compact that my daughter ends up eating more slices of bread than having the tradition sandwich.

As such, for other parents with similar problem with feeding your children, I thought having a step by step instruction on making bread/sandwich balls will be good. 🙂

Food : Breadballs with assorted fillings, berries, orange, pineapple tarts and M&Ms for boy, Ferroro for gal

Gal’s Bento is a lot simpler.  😛 Just a simple sandwich ball cinnamon sugar sandwich.  She is coughing, so her appetite is affected, not eating a lot.
